EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT POP-UP CHAPEL HAMILTON

Located just 45 minutes from Toronto, Hamilton is known for its stunning trails, lively downtown, and McMaster University. When we were looking to expand the Chapel to new cities, Hamilton was an obvious choice for us! Filled with cool venues and talented vendors, we knew it would be a great option for couples there, as well as those from Toronto who were looking to elope somewhere just outside the city.

One of the things we are most excited about for our 2021 Hamilton Chapels is the stunning venue we are partnering with - The Art Gallery of Hamilton. If you’ve been following us for a while you know we LOVE art, so it is a dream come true for us to have a Chapel where couples will be surrounded by it! In addition to the beautiful art hanging on the walls the space itself is the perfect backdrop for a wedding, with high ceilings and so much natural light. If you’re looking for some outdoor portraits they’ve got you covered too! The gallery features a lovely outdoor courtyard and statue garden which is perfect for your portrait session included in every Chapel package!

Our Brand Ambassador for Hamilton, Anna Di Carlo of Forward Events + Design, will help us transform the space and design a day that is truly one of a kind. Her style is modern and bold which perfectly aligns with The Pop-Up Chapel Co. and we can’t wait to show you what she’s come up with! Follow her on Instagram to get a sense of the amazing work she does and to keep up with the journey to our first Hamilton Chapel this April 16th!

Since many of our couples travel to get to the Chapel, one of the most frequent questions we get from couples is “Where should we go for lunch/dinner/drinks after the Chapel?”. As out-of-towners ourselves in Hamilton, we asked Anna for some recommendations of local spots couples and their guests can take the party post-Chapel and she didn’t disappoint. Check out the following Hamilton restaurants if you’re a Chapel couple looking for a lunch/dinner celebration, or if you just want to try out a new restaurant in Hamilton!

- Earth to Table Bread Bar on James St or Locke St

- Victoria’s Restaurant

- The Mule

- The Diplomat Restaurant and Bar

- Aberdeen Tavern

- Rapscallion & Co.

Another question we get all the time is “Where should we go to take photo’s before/after the Chapel?” Little known fact - Hamilton is ridiculously photogenic! There are so many amazing places to go for portraits (also don’t sleep on the courtyard at the Art Gallery of Hamilton as mentioned above!) and we think that this article by Tourism Hamilton does a pretty dang good job of summing them up!
