CHAPEL RECAP: OCTOBER 20, 2023
Our last Vancouver Chapel of the 2023 season was certainly one to write home about.
5 beautiful couples tied the knot at Stanley Park Pavilion in an old school, Parisian inspired Chapel. Stanley Park is a green oasis amidst the urban landscape of downtown Vancouver. The Pavilion is know as the jewel of Stanley Park, and has become a sought after wedding venue for many years. It boasts both indoor and outdoor space, which we absolutely love when it comes to couples portraits.
Wednesday Wedding Co. designed a Chapel with vintage items and a classic wedding-white palette. Soft white fabric was draped behind the couples, creating a heavenly backdrop. This was decorated with thrifted vintage gold frames, and delicate florals. The lounge included luxurious off-white seating and old-world gold furniture accents, to elevate the vintage European chic effect.
Ecorce Flowers designed stunning modern, textural arrangements adorned with sweet bows and pearls. They provided personal florals for each couple, designed with the couples inspiration in mind. We love working with Ecorce because they bring a fresh approach to floral design for every Chapel.
For each wedding We had Young, Hip & Married officiate a ceremony of the couples choice. They always bring a fresh take on the tradition of marriage, and the ritual involved.
Adding to the classy ambiance we had live music by Wesley Attew, a talented local guitar player and vocalist. Wesley is our favourite Vancouver area musician and has become a staple of the Vancouver Pop-Up Chapel team.
Post-ceremony the couples and their loved ones celebrated with drinks from Stanley Park Pavilion. They also enjoyed the catering our hosts, including some sweet and adorable french macarons, following the Parisian theme.
The team from SoWedding Cinema & Video captured not just the beauty of each elopement, but also the joy and love felt in the room that day. They maximized the beautiful space, and created images the couples will no doubt cherish forever.
This Chapel collected funds in support of Paws for Hope, an incredible local animal foundation that believes welfare for animals is tied to the welfare of their owners, just as animals and owners are tightly bonded. Their work is based on three main pillars: Preventing harm to animals, providing veterinary care, and maintaining accountability throughout all animal welfare programs in BC for the sake of sustainability.
Interested in a West Coast Pop-Up? We’re returning to Stanley Park Pavilion on June 7, 2024!
