POST-CHAPEL CELEBRATION IDEAS
We often get asked about what our couples do before or after their elopement and the real answer is that every couple does something different! Some newlyweds invite their guests for an intimate dinner after their chapel spot, some choose to add a destination wedding to the celebrations, others will do a backyard BBQ. The options are limitless, however, often our engaged couples are choosing the Chapel for the ease and escape from planning a limitless wedding. We’ve decided to put together a brief list of some easy and reputable places to keep the party going in any city.
Venues include: Fairmont Royal York, Henley Room, Storys Building
Sara: The globally inspired menu by Food Dudes has been a huge hit since it opened in 2018. This popular spot for small to medium-sized gatherings, is beautifully designed and will provide a memorable setting for your celebrations
Oretta: Italian home cooking in a downtown setting, Oretta marries old world Italian design with chic and trendy decor elements. The multilevel space has a variety of different packages and menus to suite the style of celebration you’re looking for.
Vela: Located at King & Portland, this stunning venue includes jaw dropping architectural elements and creative lighting to compliment it, along with a lively vibe to keep your party going!
Peter Pan Bistro: The Queen West bistro has been around for ages, due to the successful menu and wonderful spaces. Above the bistro sits a bright and beautiful event space, with stain glass windows, natural light and sweet Toronto view.
Byblos: Located on the Bottom floor of the Storys building, this is the simplest way to continue the party in style. Their menu is traditional mediterranean, and the setting is beautiful and lively, like an evening in Mykonos!
East End Toronto
Pop-Up Chapel Venues Include: Globe & Mail Centre, Evergreen Brick Works
Cluny Bistro: A beautiful sprawling space within the historic distillery district. This classic french bistro has the superior service and European decor you would expect, paired with a modernized and creative menu.
The Broadview Hotel: A classic east-end destination for tourists and locals alike. Many Chapel couples choose The Broadview Hotel as a space to gather and get ready in advance of their Chapel spot, in one of the uniquely designed suites.
George on Queen: This gem in the downtown core, boasts many rooms and spaces available for your party to continue on after your Chapel spot. The fine dining menu will be an exciting and unforgettable experience for you and your guests.
Ottawa
Pop-Up Chapel Venue: The Knox
Mati - Mati marries the modern with the mediterranean, creating a space filled with style and romance as well as comfort. The menu includes seafood, raw bar and charcoal grilled meats, giving your celebration the elegant feel of a luxury wedding. They also provide some charming private spaces for a more intimate effect.
Giovanni's - Giovanni’s is all about authentic traditional Italian to make you feel at home. With beautiful private dining rooms, it is sure to feel intimate, customized and romantic.
Goose & Gridiron - This Merrickville local hotel pub is a casual and easy going place to continue the celebration. With a lovely outdoor space covered in vinery and flooded with sunlight, this is the space for relaxed chapel couples to enjoy some cheerful sips and food favourites.
Caledon
Pop-Up Chapel Venue: Cambium Farms
Villa Caledon Inn: Located in Caledon East, this quaint Inn provides both a stunning outdoor area for a reception, and multiple indoor spaces for large group dinners giving the same rural and historical effect of Cambium farms. The menu is filled with classics and suitable to all tastes and dietary requirements.
The Millcroft Inn: Located just about 25 minutes from Cambium Farms, this vintage hotel offers expansive offerings in terms of events and large groups, as well as a wedding night stay! With a variety of spaces and menus available, the team will be able to tailor the event to fit you.
Greystones: With 4 isolated spaces available, in this historical site, Greystones has some stunning options when it comes to creating a post-Chapel event for you and your guests. Despite being quite formal, the menu has options anyone can enjoy, regardless of age or dietary restrictions.
Vancouver

Boathouse Restaurant : What better way to compliment a truly unique wedding, than with a truly unique after party?! Set on the water, this spectacular space offers you and your guests a memorable evening to enhance your special day.
Published on Main: This space has an elevated take on British public houses, keeping your gathering comfy, yet beautiful and detailed. The menu is based on local ingredients and inspired by global fare, all of which is complimented by a very carefully curated wine and bar program.
AnnaLena: The setting is casual and chill, but the menu is truly stunning, and has recently earned the AnnaLena team a Michelin star! If you and your loved ones want a meal worth investing in, take a peak at this remarkable destination.
